Bradford Robert Nelson

Bradford Robert Nelson passed away February 12 2026 from a ruptured Aorta at Mankato Mayo Hospital.

Brad was born Oct 7 1943 to Robert & Evelyn (Skjelset) Nelson of Hannaford ND, graduated Cooperstown High School 1961, and joined the Navy, stationed on the USS Intrepid. He married Maryann Asmael 1963, 1964 had a son Brian, 1965 daughter Melissa born, he graduated State School of Science at Wahpeton ND, moved to Waseca to work for E.F. Johnson. MSRA member # 632, 1985 he married Rita Hoverson, he and Rita each enjoyed pets, antiques, cars, toys, trucks, tractors and ran a few enterprises, over the years they ended up in rural New Richland. That land gave them the opportunity to expand, pursuing their interests, with room for the next “Project” that came along the way.

His knowledge, trouble shooting, mechanical skills and automotive trivia will be missed.
